Where to dance Tango in Germany
Argentine tango in Germany is a small but dedicated circuit of weekly milongas rather than a wall-to-wall scene. Berlin carries the bulk of the dancing, with the embrace flowing from Die Ballhaus Milonga midweek on Wednesdays through Berlin Tango Workout on Thursdays and into Nou Milonga every Friday. Beyond the capital, the floor stays warm: Bochum gathers dancers at Salon Epoca de Oro on Thursdays, and Freiburg keeps the night going with Late Night Tango on Fridays. Across these cities you'll find a handful of reliable milongas each week, enough to plan an evening around whether you're walking in for your first tanda or chasing the last cortina. Check the listings for current dates, times and venues before you head out.
Tango in Berlin
The heart of Germany's tango week: Die Ballhaus Milonga on Wednesdays, Berlin Tango Workout on Thursdays and Nou Milonga every Friday keep the embrace going across the capital.
Tango in Bochum
In the Ruhr, Salon Epoca de Oro brings dancers together on Thursday nights for a relaxed, traditional milonga.
Tango in Freiburg
Down in the southwest, Late Night Tango stretches the Friday floor well into the evening for night owls who don't want the music to stop.
