Where to dance in Geneva — from the Rhône to the lake

Geneva's socials trace the water. The week opens with Bachata Monday at GRAND CENTRAL @ Halles de l'Île, on the island in the middle of the Rhône, and the same halls host Mi Salsa on Sunday evenings. In summer the parties move outdoors: the Sunset Lake Social gathers bachata dancers at the Allianz Cinema by Port-Noir on Wednesdays, and Friday brings the Social Open Air to Parc des Bastions at the edge of the Old Town. Salsa dancers also head to the Grottes quarter behind Cornavin station, where Brasseur des Grottes hosts a Friday-night party, while tango keeps its own Thursday slot at Milonga Brava. Bachata leads the style mix here, with salsa close behind — and when you want a bigger calendar, Lausanne and Zurich sit along the same rail line.
