Dubai's social circuit, from Barsha Heights to The Palm
Dubai's social week runs Wednesday through Saturday, and much of it happens outdoors. The Wednesday Latin Party at the FIVE Jumeirah Village hotel gets things moving midweek, Calentura Thursday takes over Roso, the penthouse-level club of the Social Hotel in Barsha Heights, and Friday splits in two: the Friday Latin Party on the Wane by SoMiya pool deck in Dubai Marina, or La Grande Friday on the SoBe rooftop at W Dubai – The Palm. Saturdays turn afro-latin, with AfroLatin Dubai Saturdays at Pele Pool Bar in the Avani Ibn Battuta hotel and Afro Latin Saturday at TT - Rooftop Bar. Nearly every party here plays bachata, salsa and kizomba on one floor, with zouk in the Saturday rotation — so you pick your night and your skyline, not your style.
Thursday: Calentura at Roso
The week's first big night — bachata, salsa and kizomba at Roso, up on the penthouse level of the Social Hotel in Barsha Heights.
Friday: Marina side or Palm side
Choose between the Friday Latin Party on the Wane by SoMiya pool deck in Dubai Marina and La Grande Friday on the SoBe rooftop at W Dubai – The Palm.
Afro-latin Saturdays, twice over
AfroLatin Dubai Saturdays at Pele Pool Bar in the Avani Ibn Battuta hotel and Afro Latin Saturday at TT - Rooftop Bar close the weekend with kizomba-heavy sets.
Midweek warm-up in Jumeirah Village
The Wednesday Latin Party at the FIVE Jumeirah Village hotel is Dubai's midweek fix — a full bachata, salsa and kizomba night before the weekend circuit starts.
Zouk in the Saturday mix
AfroLatin Dubai Saturdays folds zouk into its rotation at Pele Pool Bar — the night to catch zouk on a Dubai dance floor right now.
Across the E11: Abu Dhabi
The capital keeps its own calendar about ninety minutes down the road — currently a Saturday tango milonga. Worth pairing with a Dubai weekend.
