1. Overview

Bailaspot respects your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to submit a deletion request and what happens after we receive it.

2. What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove:

• Your profile (name, email, avatar, dance roles, preferences)
• Authentication data (passwords, OAuth links to Google, Facebook, etc.)
• Your event registrations and attendance history
• Suggestions you submitted
• Notification preferences and delivery logs tied to your account
• If you are an organizer: your organizer profile and the events you created

3. How to Request Deletion

Option A — Email us

Send an email from the address registered on your Bailaspot account to privacy@bailaspot.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include:

• The email address associated with your account
• If you signed up via Facebook, Google, or another social provider, mention which one
• (Optional) The reason for deletion — helps us improve the product

Option B — Disconnect Facebook Login (Facebook users only)

If you signed in with Facebook and want to revoke Bailaspot's access from Facebook's side:

1. Open Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
2. Find Bailaspot in the list of connected apps
3. Click Remove

This revokes Facebook's permission for Bailaspot to access your Facebook profile. However, the data we already stored in your Bailaspot account is not automatically deleted — you still need to email us (Option A) to remove it from our database.

4. Processing Time

We will confirm receipt of your request within 72 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days. If we need additional information to verify the request, we will contact you at the email address you provided.

5. Data Retained After Deletion

Some information may be retained after account deletion when required by law or for legitimate business purposes:

• Anonymized analytics that cannot be linked back to your identity (event attendance aggregates, etc.)
• Records required by tax, accounting, or other legal obligations (typically up to 7 years)
• Backups of our systems — these are overwritten on a rolling schedule and your data will be removed from backups within 90 days of deletion
