Wednesday and Thursday dance nights at Bar La Tentación, a long-running dance hall in Oaxaca's historic centre, half a block from the tourist walkway. Doors open at 21:30; a dance class runs from 21:30 to 22:30, then social dancing to salsa, cumbia and bachata. On Thursdays there is also live music.
